Our B'nai Shalom Gathering April 3, 2003 was Superb
- 200 - 250 attendees
- Noshing was enjoyed by many
- Brother W. Cleon Skousen delivered a powerful message.
- Claudia Ovard, University of Utah Institute Choir, favored us with musical selections.
Brother Skousen's topic was "Lessons I've Learned From Life". He said a key difference is that milk eaters of the gospel only ask "what" to do next, while meat eaters also ask "why."
"A few Saints get to the meat level," Skousen said. "The why and how people are the ones that are really progressing in the Gospel."
Why don't more get into the meat?
"Because most people aren't interested in meat," he said.
"There are some boring speakers. That's 'cause they get on milk and can't get off it. . . . It's the duty of everyone to be a good sacrament meeting speaker."
Here's his website www.skousen2000.com.
Three Great Cleon Skousen Talks
It should be known that he was politically highly contriversial. He wrote strongly against communism, and was somewhat associated with McCarthyism. Glen Beck has been fueled much from Cleon Skousen. Cleon passed away in 2006.
HOW TO KEEP ALL THE COMMANDMENTS (by Cleon)
