Dr. Abraham Gileadi is a Hebrew scholar and literary analyst and longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dr. Gileadi gave a most enlightening talk, well received by over 160 attendees.

He amplified the need of Joseph and Judah to come together in love and understanding, stressing that Ephraim must know, love, and fellowship Judah, and Judah must share its great culture and history with Ephraim.

It was an evening of reunions and rejoicing; of embraces with old friends and meeting new friends; of giving and of enjoying testimonies. The exuberance and love filled the hall.

Our genealogy specialist, Nancy Hilton with her husband Lynn, had the "Geneology Corner" table set up at 5 pm. Many were gathered with them to consult all through the evening. NOTE: Genealogy help is always available with Nancy; see the Genealogy Corner button on the website and contact her.

FYI: The Washington state chapter of the Jewish Gen Society meets in an LDS meetinghouse and its current president is LDS.

A heart-felt Toda Raba to the kitchen mavens and Aaron Gardner who slaved with them in the kitchen, to Troy Molling who led the table setup and cleanup, to Julie's' string trio; to Kyle Woodruff and Melinda Wilkinson, to Cynthia at the registration table, to all who made this evening possible.

Food was Jewish, bountiful, and sumptuous. We enjoyed a large pot of matzo ball soup, potatoe latkes, Challah, matzo crackers, stuffed cabbage rolls, and much more, making for enjoyable eating and kibbitzing.

At the end, testimonies of a few foundational members brought more spirit to a rapt group of listeners.

Deseret News reporter Mark A. Kellner attended with a Deseret News photographer and wrote a wonderful article.
